Questions

Frequently asked questions

Short answers on pricing, enquiries and how our records are kept.

Can I book a venue through VenueKind?
No. VenueKind is a discovery directory. Every listing links to the venue's own website, and you enquire and book directly with the venue.
Do you charge couples anything?
No. Using VenueKind is free, and we take no commission on anything you book with a venue.
Why do some venues show “Price on request”?
Because that venue does not publish current prices. We would rather say so than estimate a figure that could mislead you.
Are the prices shown quotes?
No. Prices are the figures the venue itself publishes, with a last-checked date. Where we show an “Estimate”, it is arithmetic from published inputs, listed component by component. Only the venue can quote you.
Do you show availability?
No. Availability changes constantly and we never guess it. Ask the venue for your date.
How current is the information?
Each listing shows when we last checked the venue's published material, and lists the sources we used. Venues do change packages mid-season, so always confirm the detail that matters most to you.
Why is a detail listed as “Not published” or “Ask venue”?
“Not published” means the venue doesn't publish it. “Ask venue” means it depends on your date, numbers or catering choices.
Can venues pay to rank higher?
No. There is no paid placement and no sponsored ranking.
Something is out of date. What should I do?
Tell us. Use the report link on the venue page, or our contact form, and we'll re-check it against the venue's own material.
Do you cover the whole UK?
We cover England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and nowhere else.
